Work Opportunities


There are many opportunities for working in Metadata Services and Digital Projects, in both paid and unpaid positions. MSDP strives to be an enjoyable, supportive workplace where individuals can learn new skills, apply their expertise in creative ways, and make substantive contributions to the University's and the Libraries' mission.

  • Paid Positions

When there are paid openings in MSDP, they are listed through the Libraries and Campus Human Resources. Check the listings below.

  • Volunteer Positions

MSDP is happy to accept qualified volunteers in a variety of areas. In exchange for their work, volunteers receive training that they can use to help them in a job search or in applications to college or graduate school; they also receive favorable references for work completed satisfactorily. MSDP has accepted volunteers in the areas of conservation, cataloging, and digital libraries. Anyone who is interested in pursuing a career or a course of study in an area where MSDP has expertise is welcome to contact the department head, at msdpweb@uoregon.edu to see if a volunteer internship would meet the needs of the department and the individual.
