The Knight Library provides 26 rooms to be used for study and research:
- Five small, locked rooms that can be reserved (1-4 people)
- Eleven unlocked rooms that can be reserved (4-25 people)
- Ten unlocked rooms available on a first come, first served basis
LOCKED STUDY ROOMS - RESERVABLE
- Rms. 219, 248, 250, 319, 432
- Use of rooms: study and research. Prohibited use: UO credit classes, commercial use (for example, fee-based tutoring or meetings).
- UO students and faculty (for individuals and groups up to four) may reserve (book) locked study rooms online or by asking staff at the Checkout/Information Desk.
- Online booking: http://library.uoregon.edu/instruct/classrooms/calindex.html. Under "Locked Study Rooms" select "reserve room" and follow directions. For assistance, click on the "Self booking instructions" link.
- At your reserved time, check out the key to the study room at the
Checkout/Information Desk. Keys are checked out only to the person who books the room. Late return of keys: $4 first hour; $1.50 each subsequent hour. Key replacement charge: $5 plus $20 service charge and $40 overdue fine.
- Rooms are held 15 minutes after the booking start time.
- Maximum booking: Two hours. Due to the high demand for lockable rooms, only one booking per person per day. Subsequent bookings will be cancelled.
- Please close the door when you leave the room.
UNLOCKED STUDY ROOMS - RESERVABLE
- Rms. *102, *222, *235, 321, *322, 342, 343, *401, 402, 426, 428.
- UO students and faculty may reserve these rooms for two-hour sessions for groups of 4 - 25. Due to high demand, only one booking per day, per group.
- Reservation requests need to be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. on the day prior. For Saturday and Sunday reservations, your request must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday of that week.
- A sign will be posted outside the room each morning listing that day's reservations.
- Online booking: Under "Unlocked Study Rooms" select "Calendar/Request a reservation" and follow directions. For assistance, click on the "Self-booking instructions" link.
- When these 11 rooms are not reserved, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual users may be asked to leave if needed by groups of two or more.
* These five rooms (Rms. 102, 222, 235, 322, and 401) are also reserved by University Classroom Scheduling. Requests to book these spaces can only be made after the first day of the term, for the current term only. NOTE: Rm. 102 has restricted hours which are reflected on its calendar.
UNLOCKED STUDY ROOMS - NOT RESERVABLE
- Unlocked rooms: 245, 246, 249, 320, 345, 346, 347, 403, 430, 431.

The Library is not responsible for personal items left in the rooms. Please do not leave your belongings unattended in unlocked study spaces. Found items are taken to Library Administration, Rm. 115.
Return to the Checkout/Information Desk any library items that are checked out as Library materials left in study rooms are not checked in before reshelving.
Please leave rooms in good order.
