Demographics


Demographics and lifestyles are two elements of the market research process. Who are your potential customers? A solid understanding of your current or potential customers is essential if you want to direct your marketing efforts at the population segment that is most likely to buy your products or services.

    CensusScope, developed by the Social Science Data Analysis Network, is an easy-to-use tool for investigating U.S. demographic trends.
  • ERsys.com (http://www.ersys.com/)
    Provides demographic information on over 2600 US cities. Open the "Drop Down Manual" and select a state and then click "GO". Select a city on next page.
  • FreeDemographics (http://www.freedemographics.com/)
    FreeDemographicsTM, a product of SRC, LLC, includes demographic data using instant interactive maps, detailed summary and comparison reports. It offers fast access to U.S. Census data sorted by geographies and demographic characteristics. Access via Firebox only. Registration required.
