- The firm Lawrence
& Holford, with Ellis F. Lawrence the principle designer, designed
all UO buildings during the 1920s.
- 19th amendment to Constitution, enabling women the right to vote,
was ratified.
1921
1922
- Kincaid
Field grandstands (1905) (near current Museum of Art) were torn
down.
- The Old
Gymnasium (at that time, the Women's Gym) was destroyed by fire.

- May 1929: Construction begins on the
Museum of Art.
- UO students film on campus the feature film Ed's
Coed. Available in Knight Library's Video Collection.
- The Stock Market crash of October ends the post-World War I economic
boom and plunged the U.S. into an economic depression that lasted a
decade.
