The J202 project requires students to make extensive use of the resources of the University of Oregon Libraries. J202 students are asked to find a variety of materials on a public policy topic, including books, articles from periodicals, government documents, and institutional sources. The links below will assist you in working through the final project and in gaining a better understanding of the resources of a large academic library.
One excellent starting point is CQ Researcher, which provides 20-page overviews of the issues in the news. Once at the site, click on Index to browse possible topics.
Finding Information on Authors, Publishers, and Periodicals will help you write the source analysis for each of the items you choose for your bibliography.
And if you have further questions, you can always ask the Reference Librarians!
