UO Libraries Announces High Jump Award Winners

The UO Libraries is proud to name the winners of its 2008 High Jump Awards, a peer recognition program that highlights exceptional contributions, achievements, and endeavors from all categories of library employees, including library faculty members, staff, students, graduate teaching fellows, and volunteers. The award, of course, is named for the Olympic high jump event, and the awards are given to individuals or teams of people whose work has "cleared the bar" of high standards set by the UO Libraries.

Nominees for the High Jump Award are chosen by their peers based on the following criteria: they are creative and innovative in their work, they are effective communicators, and they are dedicated to results and productivity. This year's winners more than make the grade. They are:

  •  Lisa Manotti, Director, Library Development
  •  Donna Pellinger, Assistant Director, Library Development
  •  Dvora Robinson, Coordinator, Portland Architecture Library
  •  Dick Yates, Volunteer, Special Collections and University Archives

A lunch officially recognizing the award winners will be held this spring.
