UO Portland Library and Learning Commons

uo portland library
Find us in the beautifully renovated White Stag Block in the historic Old Town neighborhood of Portland, OR.

We integrate learning spaces, collections, reference and consulting services, and technology access to support all of the UO's academic, research, and community outreach programs in Portland.

The Library and Learning Commons fosters collaboration and community among students and faculty, with our main campus in Eugene, and with our partner institutions in the Orbis Cascade Alliance.

NEWS & NOTES:

  • Our next big event:  Words Worth Paying For?  Join us for a discussion of the future of publishing in the electronic age.  Panelists Katherine Dunn, author of Geek Love; Dennis Stovall, director of publishing and publisher of Ooligan Press at PSU; and Vailey Oehlke, director of Multnomah County Libraries, will talk with Al Stavitsky of the UO's School of Journalism and Communication.  All are welcome!

  • We've added a new collection of architectural plans and drawings, which you can visit and use in our library.  The collection includes diazotypes and blueprints of local landmarks such as the Portland Building, Timberline Lodge, the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, and others.
